If you are looking up this air rifle on the internet, you must be familiar with the “Bone Collector” TV series. If not, the “Bone Collector” is a TV series on outdoor channel, starring Michael Waddell and Travis “T Bone” Turner. The Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper is designed and developed in collaboration with the experts, Waddell and Travis.
The gun features a unique hunter forest green composite stock and bears the official “Bone Collector” logo. The Bull Whisper unites a noise and muzzle blast reducer and a bull barrel, with faster travelling pellets, all thanks to the advanced IGT (Inert Gas Technology).
The Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper comes in .177 and 0.22 variants and the IGT (Inert Gas Technology) Single Cocking System drives Platinum Ballistic Alloy PBA hunting rounds at up to 1300 fps. The gun includes 50 rounds of PBA Platinum Ammo and a 4×32 Air Rifle Scope, but experts tend to choose their own scope and ammo for precision and accuracy.

Appearance and Design
An overall aesthetically pleasing color palette with black steel barrel, muzzle and scope gives the rifle its look, and it is ready to go along you into some unfriendly territories with harsh weather conditions. And rest assured, its appearance will remain intact, thanks to the tough polymer stock which eliminates dings, chips and scratches.
The Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper air rifle features the IGT (Inert Gas Technology) gas piston, with a single cocking system. The gas piston offers increased velocity and reduces vibration. The IGT gas piston means you’ll get smoother cocking, smoother shooting, no spring fatigue, longer product life, and better functionality in cold temperatures.
Featuring the Bone Collector logo over its hunter forest green synthetic stock, the gun looks like it means serious business. A textured pistol grip, manual safety, and smooth action triggers (SAT) work in unison to provide smooth handling.
The rifle offers a 3-step easy operation:
1. Gently tap the front of the barrel to expose the breech
2. Load the pellet and cock the gun
3. Aim at your intended target, and pull the trigger.
The gun is easy to lock and load, although needs to be cocked every time due to its single shot operation. The trigger is light with almost 4 lbs. of pull required, which can be lowered to a convenient 3.25 using the adjustable trigger, and some gamo air gun oil. The stock offers better grip and lets you take more accurate shots, while the recoil dampening system of this gun is exceptional. Overall, this rifle is a real pleasure to use, handle and store.
The stock scope is tough to dial in, but replace it with a better scope, and you have a winner!
The Bone Collector air rifle features a striking design along with an exceptional performance. The shooting experience is so pleasurable; I could shoot all day without getting bored or fatigued.
At 25 yards, it easily falls into place and makes groups that are tight. Although the PBA pellets that were included with the gun only lasted for less than 30 minutes, it was fun. These pellets are light and get deflected by air, so consider choosing a heavier pellet for better accuracy.
Tested and rated, the air rifle is able to shoot 1300 fps, which is way over the speed of sound at 1100 fps. Regular lead pellets travel at much slower velocity and this affects accuracy when aiming at a longer distance.
It can be used for varmint hunting, small game, and according to Gamo it’s even suitable for large pest control . The bottom line is, it shoots far and shoots straight, justifying its Bone Collector name.
The Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper is alike most guns in terms of pellet selection.
The limited range of this gun is 125 yards, and if you are skilled enough, you may be able to zero in at up to 40 yards with the Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper.
We recommend an extra scope for better accuracy, along with Gamo 7.9 grain Red Fire hunting pellets.
After trying a few, here the best pellets for this gun after analyzing our shooting results:
|PBA Platinum||5.2 grains||25 yards||splattered||1”|
|Gamo Red Fire hunting pellets||7.9 grain||25 yards||excellent||1”|
|Generic||10.5 grain||40 yards||excellent||2”|
Made in collaboration with “Bone Collector” hosts Michael Waddell and Travis “T Bone” Turner, this gun has all the desirable features, plus a few extras. It is one of the best IGT air rifles, is lightweight, and offers more velocity, better accuracy and longevity with consistent performance.
Although the PBA pellets are not accurate enough with it and the scope which comes bundled is hard to dial in; fans of the show and air gun enthusiasts have little trouble overlooking these minor flaws because the Bone Collector is worth it!
